great fun at great america
As soon as we walked into the park, we spotted Sylvester:
and I took a quick photo by the entrance:
Then George, Em, and Nick got in line for the new roller coaster, The Dark Knight. I would've loved to try it, too, but someone had to stay with Ben.... I took him over to the kiddie rides and he had fun on the ladybugs:
And although he refused to get his picture taken with any of the characters we saw walking around, Ben was okay with sitting next to this Daffy statue:
Then I took him in the Looney Lodge to play with foam balls. We could've stayed here ALL day long, and he would've been happy! (As it was, I spent approximately 3 hours of the day there with him.):
Ben and I did go on a kiddie roller coaster, as well. He wanted to go on it, but then thought it was a bit scary when we were actually on it. ("Up down hills scary! Curves nice." LOL) When we got off, I asked him what he wanted to go on next, and he pointed to the nearby Vertical Velcocity roller coaster, LOL! I told him I didn't think he was quite ready for that yet!
After some lunch, all five of us went over to Hurricane Harbor and had a blast playing in the water. We spent about half the time in this area, going on water slides, splashing in the fountains...:
and having water dumped on us!: Then we went over to the wave pool. Ben thought the big waves were hilarious! We had to hold him up or the waves would've knocked him over:
We went on some more rides after that. I got to ride the Demon roller coaster with Em and Nick while George took Ben to the Wiggles World area, and we rode some spinny rides, as well. Then Ben and I headed back to the balls while the others rode the Batman roller coaster. And in the evening, Nick and I took Ben on the Raging Rapids where we got totally soaked to the bone, thanks to George, who paid money to spray us with water! We ate some supper and a funnel cake sundae (YUM), then watched a show:
and the parade:
before heading home, exhausted. What fun! :)
